We would like to thank everyone who braved the weather and attended the Omnis Developer Conference in Boston last week.
The conference was opened by David Lewis (Chairman of the Board of Directors) and was a good opportunity to introduce David McGee as the new Sales Manager based in Dallas Texas. There will be a great deal more activity in the US over the coming months, in-line with our renewed commitment to the US/Canada market.
The conference featured in-depth sessions from the Omnis Board and Management Team as well as several members of the Omnis Community contributing keynote presentations; we greatly appreciate the support given to the conference by all the speakers.
The main focus of the conference was to bring Omnis Developers together to discuss business ideas and projects, share hints and tips, discuss the process of upgrading to the latest version of Omnis Studio, and to hear about the next version of Omnis Studio, version 9, including the first public demonstration of the new Code Editor.
Many customers are in the process of/or are planning to upgrade to the current version of Omnis Studio – indeed, there were several sessions and discussions providing insight and practical advice to these customers.
The last session was an open discussion with Bob Whiting (General Manager) and Bob Mitchell (Engineering Manager), providing an opportunity for the Omnis Community to ask questions, make suggestions and influence the future development of the Omnis Studio platform.
The conference was a great success and we look forward to bigger and better conferences and regional developer days in the US.
Omnis is committed to the Omnis Community and as such we always want your feedback and comments to continually improve the platform and future events. Please send any feedback to stephen.mitchell@omnis.net.
Thank you.
Stephen Mitchell, UK Sales Manager
