The project will create two applications that will strengthen the process of comprehensive support for students, both educational and pastoral, in order to issue alerts and follow up on those who require academic or management support, in order to promote the completion of studies. The project is part of the professional training of teachers in Systems Engineering at the Israel University, in Quito Ecuador, and will use the Omnis Studio 10.2 application development tool.
The project will consist of a web application to allow the management of the process, and used by the administrator with full access to the modules. For the teacher, the reports part will be activated, according to their profile. Plus a mobile app, which will work on Android, with teacher access for academic monitoring. All the actions carried out in the app will be reported in the web app.
The team of four professors from Systems Engineering at the University have already attended an introductory course in Omnis Studio. The team is responsible for the development of the apps and will have the technical support of SoftPI, which will consist of training, specific technical assistance according to the requirements of the development and follow-up of the project.
